Physics, Politics, and Consequences

Isaac Newton gave us a principle that said, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Now I know that some scientists are trying to push the idea that Sir Isaac was some nutcase, a religious crackpot. But we still use his findings as the basis of our modern science. So let's apply the laws we've learned in science to what is happening in the political realm.

Debt is like heavy rocks. If you pile it too high on a platform made out of wood, eventually the platform will collapse. If you bury a person under those same rocks, they will die. Our government has piled so much debt on top of America's people, that we will never see the light of day. And it will suffocate the life out of us.It's a scientific guarantee.

Last week Congress passed Obamacare, as you are well aware. Now, understand, I have no objection to trying to reform the healthcare system- but reform it toward socialism I strongly disagree. I have friends in nations with socialized medicine who tell me they may have to wait two or more years for surgeries that we take for granted here. Their system is so clogged with people that it has become an assembly line of people. Pay for doctors is way down, so they fight to get anyone from anywhere with a medical degree, even if it is substandard.

And insurances:my current insurance policy went up by $111 this year alone. Why? Because of a major surgery I am now considered "high risk." And so they can charge me considerably more. I'm too young for Medicare. They offered me a different policy, but they offered me an extremely high deductible, which would have been deadly for me on a fixed income. Did this healthcare bill help me? Nope. Not now, not until maybe 2014. I still won't be eligible for Medicare until 2018. America probably won't exist by then, if some things don't change!

Walgreens cut off new Medicaid patients just prior to passage of this bill. They don't want to deal with the mess of red tape! Many major corporations are worried they will go under as the weight of new taxes hits them.

Americans are already buried under tons of monetary rocks. This may be our death nell, if we are unable to throw off the weight of the tyranny behind it. And make no mistake, this is tyranny. It is a form of slavery to the master that our leaders want to force on the American people. They want us to pay. They want us to fall. They have exempted themselves from the consequences. We are the fall guys here. The best hope we have is the voting booth.

I saw firsthand what "redistribution of wealth"really means in the 70's. It meant that leaders got the money, the people got poverty. It meant that leaders kept their power, the people had none. It meant that machine guns were trained on their own people, not only their enemies. Their people were literally trapped behind barbed wire fences with little material goods and little hope.If that's what you'd like for America, keep letting these folks run our nation.

I knew a woman who swam the Danube River to flee from her communist nation in order to get to America back in the 60's. She was lucky; she made it alive. But not without scars. They promised a "redistribution of wealth" to her nation too...what they got was communist control and deadly force that crushed her people.

It took President Reagan and a moderate Soviet leader to tear down the Berlin Wall. I don't see anyone with the wisdom to stop this runaway train in America. We have a popularity contest instead of a political system. We need to vote this November, and vote in the masses against the Marxist agenda. And I pray that someone with true wisdom will show up before November of 2012, or we are done for.The science proves it.

The Consequences of Bitterness

This morning's headlines contain the story of a blonde-haired mother who was once a straight A nursing student- now a hate-filled follower of Islamic extremists. How did she get there? Actually, it's an easy downhill slide. It starts with bitterness.

Bitterness is one of the worst things that can infiltrate a person's life. As soon as it takes root, it starts growing exponentially.

As we grow up, many things can happen to us in this difficult world. People can hurt us. People we trust can betray us. By the time we reach adulthood, we can choose to walk past such bad situations into a good life with joy, or we can live in the past and hunker down into bitterness. From there it's a build up of darkness that eventually overloads and starts an avalanche of problems. Forgiveness renders that bitterness unable to grow!

Hosea Ballou, one of our nation's founding personalities (1771-1852), once said that "A religion which requires persecution to sustain it is of the devil's propagation." If he were alive today, he would see that play out in the most destructive of philosophies: the idea that "infidels" should be killed.

Hatred is the blossom that blooms as bitterness grows. Soon it releases its pollen to others, and a whole field of evil is produced. It ALWAYS produces some sort of death in the person in which it resides. It is a self-punishing hell to those who choose to live in it. Their thoughts are consumed. Their ability to truly love is destroyed. Their actions become destructive to others. Their joy becomes perverted into hate. Life is no longer worth living, so whatever their mindset becomes plays out in a drama of evil actions. All because at some point in their lives, they chose to be bitter. It's not worth it, folks.

Television, movies, games, all teach our people to be bitter and angry- revenge and violence fill their minds. "Get even" is the cry of these media. We don't know what we have done. Religious people who blindly indoctrinate others without regard for life itself propogate such terror. In a world that is messy and harsh, we have shown children and adults alike how to grow a bitterness seed. And when confronted by someone (like a jihadist) with a method of revenge and anger against those they have chosen to hate, they move easily into a world of extremist thought and plot to blow people up. Or they find weapons and shoot innocent people in a school, business, or shopping mall.

There is only one answer- the forgiveness of Christ. Free yourself from the pain of bitterness, and let go of the past. It's not worth it. It's not worth destroying families and friends, nations and cities over the way you feel inside. Get free of it!
