Arguing with Cobras

Today's headlines make you feel like we are trying to argue with cobras. Or tree stumps, not necessarily in that order.

In one news agency today we see the headline that Paul McCartney compares people who disagree with "global warming" to holocaust deniers like Ahmadinejad. I'd class Paul as a tree stump. As a high school student, I visited Dachau in Germany. And frankly, Paul DEEPLY offends me by his statement. I have several Jewish friends who would also be greatly angered by that nasty attitude. I believe in global climate CYCLES- but not the kind of warming that alarmist socialists love to tout. And scientifically it has been shown as a ruse in the first place, Paul- get a clue. Global warming is about control, not about the environment. The comparing of the two issues are rude, ignorant, and foolish. You are more prejudiced and intolerant than anyone of us that you despise so vehemently.

Between that and all the falderal from Iran about their nuclear capability, the dissension in the military, the failure of our Prez to be balanced, and a boatload of crazy people nominated for judgeships around the country, an ocean disaster of unbelievable proportions, and well, we've got problems. And a lot of those issues are controlled by people I would call cobras.

They are deaf as a post. Cobras have no ears. They can sense vibrations, and have awesome eyesight for movement, but they don't hear. You can yell all day at one and get nowhere. Step your foot in front of them even from behind and they will nail you. Or spit in your eyes. Sound like Washington yet? They just are NOT listening!

And what about General McChrystal? He blew it, plain and simple. Allowing and feeding dissension within a military organization was just plain dangerous. Hesitation within the ranks, insubordination, all of that can get people killed. As a leader, he should have worked to create cohesion and the strength of unity in his men. One can only hope that General Petraeus has the strength and ability to marshal some sort of unity.

Right now, our military is terribly divided. They are not fond of our President, who is not a friend of American warriors. When there are problems between the men and the leaders, danger lurks. Even in law enforcement, when the men hate the Chief or the lower echelon, someone could get killed. And hatred, like ignorance, causes deafness. People get so wrapped up in themselves and their "feelings" that wisdom gets tossed out. Then nobody wins, and the cobras begin to devour their prey.

If it sounds like I'm unhinged by all this, I'm not.I saw it coming. It was written for us thousands of years ago. We should have cleaned our ears out to hear it. So this is a short warning to cobras and tree stumps: cobras are also cannibalistic, and dead tree stumps get pulled out of the ground. The day is coming, way sooner than you think, when the Owner of the earth and the nations is going to do some housecleaning. I'd get on his good side before He gets here.
