Fresh Starts

Bombs exploding in Nigeria, explosions in the Philippines, what a start to Christmas Day. Sometimes I wonder why people have to be so filled with hate that they can't take a day off from destruction. In some previous wars, Christmas was honored by both sides. Not so in modern times. The spirit of murder is so entrenched that people want to kill even at the Celebration of the Most Important Person in history. But then, that's the key right there- they don't know Jesus or even have an inkling about Him.

My heart for everyone this coming year is that there will be a fresh start. That enough of these hate-filled, murderous people will be touched so deeply by Jesus that they melt into a heap and get a heart change. You don't think so? It happened to Paul. That would be Saint Paul- who started off as Saul the murderer of Christians.

God has a way of revealing the truth. He often does it at the expense of our own mindsets. Having a golden Light flush out all the crap in our hearts and minds is quite an experience. I hope one day I will wake up, sign in to my news feeds, and see good news all across the earth. It will probably have to wait until either I go Home or Jesus returns, but I live in expectation. I pray that all of you will live in that expectation as well. A fresh start for the entire world. Wouldn't that be grand!

Christmas Debacle

Remember back when I mentioned that we'd be watching and Congress had better remember the message of November's elections? We'll we're watching, they're not remembering.These last few days of a lame duck session are a debacle.
The word debacle means disaster. And it perfectly describes the current attitudes of a large portion of the Congress. It will be good to see a lot of them hit the road in January.


In all my years I have never seen such disrespect for the American voters. I see power hungry politicians bent on shoving bills through that are detrimental to the future of our nation. Don't give me the "it's just a difference of opinion" speech, either. It is simple math: if you spend beyond your means, you will go broke. I know from personal experience that debt destroys. And the deeper the debt, the deeper the destruction. And yet this Congress has been determined to pull the foundations of America out from under us.I'm beginning to think it's a deliberate attempt to wreck the ship of state.

The spending omnibus bill has been pulled short term, according to Senator Reid this morning (Dec 17). So, what, you want to add more stuff? Figure out how to add a few more pages to the 1,999 already in it? Trying to even out the 8.3 billion in pork? I have an answer. Get the shredder, hire a secretary, and shred the whole kit and kaboodle. Start over and keep it to a couple of hundred pages. Leave out the special interests, just handle the important matters like funding the government. Leave the special stuff for individual bills that everyone can see clearly. Quit hiding everyone's pet projects inside important pages. That would help Americans begin to heal from their runaway freight train government.

The biggest Christmas present America needs from it's government is a huge backing off. Stick to the basics. Stay out of the deception game. Fix this Christmas debacle. Stop hiding, start being honest. That would be a huge Merry Christmas to all of us!

While the World Sleeps

Evil plans are always made when people don't pay attention. According to Israeli intelligence this week, Iran can already make a bomb. While we frittered away our time in worthless diplomacy, Iran pushed their program forward.As if they were really concerned about world peace. Ha!

While the world believed North Korea's lies about stopping their nuclear enrichment, THEY also forged ahead on a new plant. The world in effect slept through the process. This week we have learned that they had a secret nuclear plant that will do the evil deeds we all dread. And today, they have attacked a South Korean island just for the sheer nastiness of it.

You cannot stop a rattlesnake in mid-strike and ask it to take the venom out of its fangs! You cannot explain logical, Judeo-Christian mindsets for the importance of human life to people who hate. It does not work.

For example on a smaller scale, if you want a drunk to stop driving, all the advertisements, legal penalties, and laws in the world will not stop them. They are addicted, and will drive drunk no matter what the ramifications. They have to be literally taken off the road, put through a de-tox, and their hearts/minds changed. Without that full treatment, they will continue to drive drunk. You can't reason with them.You can't scare them out of it. They don't think like the rest of us. The same applies to terrorists, communists, abusers, etc.

Telling Kim Jong Il that he's upsetting the world is ineffective, because that's his purpose. Telling Al-Qaeda that they are evil is a waste of time, since they believe the rest of us are evil. Trying to squeeze Ahmadinejad by economic sanctions on the country of Iran is a joke because he doesn't care about his people. And attempting to talk him out of his "12th Imam" mindset is an exercise in futility.

The only thing evil respects is the ability to overpower it. The only way to stop evil is to pay attention and act according to wisdom, understanding that talk- talk- talk does nothing but distract from the inevitable. Neville Chamberlain was the perfect example of that just prior to WWII. He talked his way into an agreement with Germany, even signed by Hitler. It was violated almost as soon as the ink dried.

People with evil mindsets must be dealt with in strength, not weakness. We may be about to see what complacency and worthless talk have caused.

TSA- Who's in Charge Here?

This is a copy of Erick Erickson's blog from today's RedState.com
It exemplifies some of the issues that America's "screenings" are facing. A metal detector is fine. A body scanner for people who beep that detector is ok. Putting their hand up my crotch is a different situation and they'll likely get a faceful of hand slap. But this incident tops it all.

It will be interesting to note as you read this that passengers have been walking on to flights regularly with nail clippers. I take them all the time. I have never been challenged. I was once challenged for my eyeglass screwdriver, but a long, sharp pointy thing is understandable. (They let me keep it, by the way).But this one is ludicrous. Armed soldiers carrying guns have to give up their nail clippers, but get to keep their guns. A US military charter, no less.Good grief. I hope as you read this you will see the humor of it. After all, by now we should all know that the government is messed up. It's just highly funny to see it in action.

There does need to be a change somewhere, preferably at the top. We need some folks who will remember that Israel's profiling is far more effective.We hire the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit to profile serial killers and violent criminals, but we can't profile terrorists who are serial killers? Like I said, the government is very messed up.

A friend of mine sent me this about his TSA experience. He, unlike most of us, was coming back into the country from Afghanistan on a military charter.

As the Chalk Leader for my flight home from Afghanistan, I witnessed the following:

When we were on our way back from Afghanistan, we flew out of Baghram Air Field. We went through customs at BAF, full body scanners (no groping), had all of our bags searched, the whole nine yards.

Our first stop was Shannon, Ireland to refuel. After that, we had to stop at Indianapolis, Indiana to drop off about 100 folks from the Indiana National Guard. That’s where the stupid started.

First, everyone was forced to get off the plane–even though the plane wasn’t refueling again. All 330 people got off that plane, rather than let the 100 people from the ING get off. We were filed from the plane to a holding area. No vending machines, no means of escape. Only a male/female latrine.

It’s probably important to mention that we were ALL carrying weapons. Everyone was carrying an M4 Carbine (rifle) and some, like me, were also carrying an M9 pistol. Oh, and our gunners had M-240B machine guns. Of course, the weapons weren’t loaded. And we had been cleared of all ammo well before we even got to customs at Baghram, then AGAIN at customs.

The TSA personnel at the airport seriously considered making us unload all of the baggage from the SECURE cargo hold to have it reinspected. Keep in mind, this cargo had been unpacked, inspected piece by piece by U.S. Customs officials, resealed and had bomb-sniffing dogs give it a one-hour run through. After two hours of sitting in this holding area, the TSA decided not to reinspect our Cargo–just to inspect us again: Soldiers on the way home from war, who had already been inspected, reinspected and kept in a SECURE holding area for 2 hours. Ok, whatever. So we lined up to go through security AGAIN.

This is probably another good time to remind you all that all of us were carrying actual assault rifles, and some of us were also carrying pistols.

So we’re in line, going through one at a time. One of our Soldiers had his Gerber multi-tool. TSA confiscated it. Kind of ridiculous, but it gets better. A few minutes later, a guy empties his pockets and has a pair of nail clippers. Nail clippers. TSA informs the Soldier that they’re going to confiscate his nail clippers. The conversation went something like this:

TSA Guy: You can’t take those on the plane.

Soldier: What? I’ve had them since we left country.

TSA Guy: You’re not suppose to have them.

Soldier: Why?

TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon.

Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a weapon. And I’m allowed to take it on.

TSA Guy: Yeah but you can’t use it to take over the plane. You don’t have bullets.

Soldier: And I can take over the plane with nail clippers?

TSA Guy: [awkward silence]

Me: Dude, just give him your damn nail clippers so we can get the f**k out of here. I’ll buy you a new set.

Soldier: [hands nail clippers to TSA guy, makes it through security]

This might be a good time to remind everyone that approximately 233 people re-boarded that plane with assault rifles, pistols, and machine guns–but nothing that could have been used as a weapon

Strategic Decisions

As we end this last ridiculous session of Congress and prepare to start up a new one (guaranteed to be a huge battleground), it would be good if we stopped to reflect on a few truths before we jump into the fire.

America is supposed to be run by people that we as citizens have chosen as representatives. A true democracy should be free and equal in its government. The bad news is that when our newly elected folks get to Washington DC with their ideals and excitement, their first encounter will be the establishment.

Many years ago I spoke to Senator Jim McClure (now deceased) of Idaho while we kids were on a tour of the Capitol. He said that one of the most difficult things for the constituents to grasp is that many elected officials only appear at Congressional sessions when the cameras are turned on so they can look good. Most of the time they work from their offices. When new people come to Congress with their hearts set on change, they run up against the good ol' boys and the lobbyists who do not want change. Many have been there for eons and have so much power that they literally can stymie anything new brought up by a member.

In Christianity, we call them "strongholds." They are run by "principalities"- and are set in place by powerful critters that have been allowed free reign for a very long time. So how do we get rid of a stronghold?

You overpower it. In the natural realm, an election alone will not break a stronghold. It's a good start, but the main issue is how the newly elected folks operate. They need wisdom, they need inner strength to stand against the pressure from the WH or even their own party. There are strongholds in both parties, not just one.It will require a united front. Can they do it?

They can, but only with our help.They have to understand that this nation will not keep them in the halls of Congress if they do not accomplish the will of the people of their state. They must make strategic decisions, not just pal around with the establishment and seek power.

As citizens of America, we need to keep tabs on our elected officials. We need to make our voices known! All of the Reps and Senators have emails these days- use them to voice your opinions. Keep track of what Congress is doing, and what issues are before them. If you are silent, the chances of real forward movement are nil. If the men and women of Congress know you are watching, they will be far more likely to stand strong in the face of peer pressure.

Don't rely on the news media or your party, get information and pay attention!

Good Morning, Sunshine

At least this election I didn't wake up with a headache the next morning.
While I would some day like to see California wake up and smell the conservative roses, at least they rejected the legalization of marijuana. So there is hope.

It saddens me that Washington State can't figure out that their Senator Murray is not as much for them as she says. But then, Idaho re-elected Senator Frank Church (the epitome of liberal) numerous times because they were afraid to lose his influence in the Senate.

The electorate is often snowed by "power" because they think it will get them somewhere. Personally, I think too much power messes with the balance in government, but that's my opinion. The "power" should rest with the people of America, and Congress should be listening to us. We'll see if that begins to happen now that the Republicans have won the majority in the House.

Congrats to the new folks- and we're praying for you. You'll need it.And the great news of the morning is that Nancy Pelosi is gone from our radar. Yahoo.

I got a call yesterday from Raul Labrador's campaign in Boise Idaho. My phone talks to me before I pick up, and it said that I was receiving a call from Bo-say I.D. I resisted the temptation to laugh. The young man on the other end started to ask me if he could count on our vote for Raul- I said we already voted for him earlier in the day. His response blessed me. Excitedly he responded, "Really? Oh, thank you!"
Whoever you are, bless you for not being a recording and for showing some sort of emotion about the whole thing. This recording trend drives me up the wall. I want real people to talk to, not stupid recordings.

At any rate, we are now past that hurdle until 2012. I'm not looking forward to that nastiness. Politics has gone from ordinary nasty to ridiculous nasty in just a few short years. I'd rather just say what Sgt Friday used to say, "Just the facts." I live in hope.

9-11 Remembrance

On 9-11-2001 I was working at a police department in the Pacific Northwest. A supervisor walked into the middle of the room and just stood there. The color had drained from his face. He told me that America was under attack, and that planes had stuck New York and Washington,DC. At that point he turned and walked back to his office.

Within minutes, nearly every employee on duty was crammed into the break room in front of the television. The terror transfixed us for days. Stunned police officers had to climb back in their patrol cars and complete their jobs. The Chief held back tears of grief yet he had to rally us into a unified group that would continue to protect the people of our city.

But the lump of shock tried to choke us for weeks afterwards.We would see the images of death and feel the anger, the sorrow, the reality that people wanted to destroy us. And we stood strong, doing our jobs in spite of the repercussions. And then came the white powders.

The people of the city tetered on full panic. They saw terrorism and death in everything from talcum powder to chicken soup mix. Calls skyrocketed as domestic violence and drunk driving escalated at an alarming rate. New policies and procedures had to be created. Fear raged through the city. But the police had to remain calm. They had to bring stability, order, and peace to people whose fear had clouded their judgment.It would take a few months for the side-effects of 9-11 to subside. The reports we handled seemed to stack to the ceiling. But we did it, and we remembered our fallen brethren in New York.I am proud to have served with the men and women of that department, as I watched them perform their duties in spite of an atmosphere of uncertainty.

If you are tempted to believe the lies of those who try to intimidate us by their temper tantrums while touting that they are "peaceful;" if you are afraid of standing against a policy that deletes your right to say "no", just remember 9-11-2001.Remember the act of pure evil that killed 2700 of our people all at once and thousands since then from the wars and the fallout at Ground Zero. Remember and be an American. Stand up for what is right for our country and our heritage without placating the enemy.

Darkness Before the Dawn

What do we do when everything you see is completely unbelievable? When your President can't tell friend from foe, when your leaders seem to have brain damage, and the economics of the things attached to all of that sucks your life dry. What do we do?

What do we do when we pray on our faces for our nation's leaders and it seems to only get worse? Do we give up? Do we let ourselves get bitter? Should we throw a royal pity party?

Obviously, none of those things are productive. The first piece of advice: go make a peanut butter sandwich. Seriously. Walk away from the TV or internet and make a peanut butter sandwich. I just did, it was great. Made it on raisin bread- outstanding. My whole outlook is better.

Now I can tell you this little tidbit of news that you might not have wanted to face: your President is not on our side. What? Such a shock! He knows full well that building a mosque at ground zero is the establishment of a victory symbol that flies in the face of America. It's the Muslim version of the "up yours" symbol. He knows that it's part of the way Islam works- establish themselves, intimidate, kill, and conquer. It is the culture he grew up in! So if you are shocked at his stand on the mosque, you've had your head stuck in the sand a while now.

We pray and pray, and see little major shifting to the good. Why? Because we asked for this. The American people were dumb enough to fall for the crap in the election, so we asked for it. We elected these idiots. Our fault. So now we have to live with the consequences until we can repent, get our guts and brains back, and vote them out of office.God wants us to see what we have done, repent, and turn to Him.


Now for the good news: when a storm throws its best shot at you, the sky turns black. The clouds cover the sky and dump the torrents of rain and thunder and lightning...and suddenly, the light breaks through. As the sun splits the clouds and the rainbow appears,hope returns. The Bible says that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

No matter how difficult these times are for us, we have something the left-wing crazies do not: the Advocate, the Comforter. We have a Friend and Savior they do not know. And He is not mocked. People can do very evil thing on the planet including kill God's precious ones, but ultimately the end game is ours not theirs. We win, they lose. God does not take kindly to evil, what goes around comes around. Judgment is inevitable, just as the rising sun at dawn.

A silly example: a dear friend once worked at McDonalds. She worked very hard, but the manager thought she was ugly, so he did his level best to make her look bad in everything she did. One morning the pancake batter dispenser stopped working. My friend asked the manager for help, as the orders were backing up. He made a snotty remark and pushed the handle of the stuck dispenser. Wait for it.... All of the backed up batter sprayed in his face and all over his shirt!
All of the employees burst into near-hysterical laughter, and my friend learned that he had treated all of them poorly as well. We reap what we sow, it's the law of the universe.

So as we pray and hope in our Lord, as well see evil after evil perpetuated in the earth, know that the law of reaping and sowing is in play. It may look the darkest it's ever been, but when the worst has come, the dawn will arrive.

Stand Strong in the Fire

This could be called an open letter to all people who call themselves "Christians." As the description of this blog mentions, it's time to fasten your seatbelts, things are getting hotter. And this is my admonishment to you: stand strong in the fire. Keep your relationship to the Lord deep, personal, and filled with true faith.

We are seeing unprecedented attempts by the "Freedom from Religion Foundation" to remove all Christian prayer from American public life. Have they targeted other religions? Nope. Just Christians. They have an axe to grind, a deep seated hatred fed by the father of lies. And, as Jesus put it,we're almost to the point where "they think they do God a favor by killing you."

So listen up, Christians. Time to get some backbone so that you can stand in the middle of the flames.

Now, do I like conflict? No, I hate it. Do I like being the voice of doom and gloom? I hate that too. I want everything to be sweetness and light, goody two shoes huggy stuff. Unfortunately, anyone who reads the news knows better. And if you don't read it you're an idiot. (Yes, she said idiot, and meant it too!)

When someone tells you you can't say "amen" out loud, invite them to the theological place of eternal punishment. And if they tell you not to pray, the same applies. The government can't stop you from praying even if they cut your tongue out. You can pray in your head, and they can't mess with your spirit. And if they kill you, you get the better end of the deal. (And don't forget to forgive them on the way Home, because otherwise they'll be swimming in some really nasty spot forever and you might get stuck at the heavenly gates).

King Solomon declared that there was "nothing new under the sun." (Eccl) Truth, that. Some of the arguments used by Nero to burn Christians alive are being used by the left to make us look "dangerous" and evil. They are not above making things up, so be aware. Or their open hatred bursts out in statements like the left-winger who said she would like to see Rush Limbaugh die. It's an omen, gang, listen up. That statement came straight from the pit.It was a curse, which we reverse in Jesus' Name (yep, using His Name- too bad ACLU, FFRF, tough for you).

The devil hates opposition, he hates people to stand up against him. He wants control, and fawning, cowardly followers. He wanted to be God- and lost out, but he keeps trying. He knows he's lost the battle, so he's going to do his level best to destroy everything and everyone he can in the meantime. Every time you fight back to the bullies he sends it makes him mad and diminishes his power over the situation. I say laugh at him. The joy of the Lord is your strength.

As Daniel's three friends flat refused to bow to the Babylonian king, we must refuse to bow to the enemy of our souls. So if they throw us in the fire, we have to stand strong and hang on to tight to Jesus. May His Blood cover us with the power of redemption!

The Business of Government Nosey-ness

At the risk of sounding a bit rough, that the heck business is it of government what I eat? As Michelle Obama put it the other night, "desserts are not a right." Well, I think Grandma's Apple Pie is very much a right, thank you, and with that, butt out of my refrigerator.

And what business is it of government to run my healthcare? That should be between my doctor and I, not the messy-ocricy in Washington. Donald Bersnickety Berwicked or whatever his name is and his rationing principles aside, it's flat not the government's business.We don't need no stinking rationing.

Government was set up to protect the people from foreign armies, to provide for our safety, to give us the right to pursue happiness. It was never meant to be the food police, or the medical care puppetmasters.

And what about this new NSA program called "Perfect Citizen"-sounds like something right out of the Communist Stalin Regime or Hitler's Youth program. Pardon me if I don't run out an buy my new red scarf to wear as proof of my perfect behavior.

Why aren't they calling it something that has to do with cybersecurity, as they tell us it's function should be? What about Protection System instead of "Perfect Citizen?" I don't believe it has only a cyber-security purpose. It's name tells us otherwise. They don't want your favorite conservative bloggers to say anything bad about them. Too late, that.

Now before I get some speech from one of my brothers or sisters in Christ, let me say this: we are supposed to love our enemies, but we do not have to placate them to do it. David and his men killed their enemies. David cut off Goliath's head. Enemies that seek to destroy us must be fought both in the spiritual realm and reality- period.

We don't have to placate people or fail to tell the truth in order to love them.I pray for the President- I don't agree with him, and I will not bow my knee to him, but I do pray for him. I pray for visitation by the Lord, for God's mercy because pride goes before a fall and if he falls we all fall with him. So we need to pray for God's mercy on the PREsident.

He needs truth to be his advisor instead of the current crop of left-wing crazies.He needs to know America from the heart of its forefathers and the people who love it, not from his muddled background. He needs to be baptized in truth and love and the Presence of the only Living God, not his off-the-beam religious background of hatred and lies.
Love is not sticky and gooey, it is the best of all of God's gifts. And it does not rejoice in what is wrong!

So there you have it- I think the government needs to rein back on the control freak programs. They have encroached enough; we all need to stand up and start making ourselves heard. And I'll keep eating my dessert, thank you very much.

From Exploration to Implosion

This week has seen some real nutcase actions so far by the government. We have the government filing a lawsuit against Arizona for trying to enforce the law. ????(Smart, I tell ya, real smart.)

We have the Obama-Netanyahu meeting where everybody smiled for the cameras, when you know that both men would like to take a brick and "bless" the other upside the head. Bibi would win.

We have the recess appointment of some idiot who wants socialized medicine to a major Medical oversight department in the government. Sigh.

Frankly the worst ding-dong issue is one you might not have noticed:

From the "you can't make this up" file, President Obama is turning NASA into his Muslim-outreach agency. According to Fox News, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden says that NASA's foremost mission in 2010 is to improve relations with the Muslim world.
Pause. Re-read. Pause. Huh? Yes. Re-read again.
He went on to say, "[w]hen I became the NASA administrator - or before I became the NASA administrator - [President Obama] charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science . and math and engineering."
Now, reasonable people can disagree about what NASA should be doing and how much we should spend on a national space program. But come on - are you serious?"

Excuse me.Our President has lost what little mind he had left. NASA is a SPACE exploration program. Not the space between your ears, the space out there in the cosmos. He just destroyed the hopes and dreams of thousands of potential astronauts who wanted to see the universe- now they are supposed to stroke Arabs like puppies to make them feel better. Good grief.If we needed more counselors in the government, he should have tasked the Department of Health and Human Services, not the Space Agency! Yikes.

If these times seem totally bizarre to you, it's because our leader has never known God personally, nor has he ever loved America. He grew up in bitterness, obviously.

The Islamic political system is based upon hatred of those not involved in it. It is not strictly a religion, it is a political governing based upon bitterness and anger and jealousy. Hosea Ballou, one of our nation's early leaders, once said that "any religion which requires hatred to sustain it, is of the devil's own propogation."

True love allows people to fulfill their potential, allows them to grow and become all that God intended. The definition of these things in our current leadership is one of control and supression, not expression. Exploration is a form of expression. It is an optimistic view of the universe, one that says there are things yet to be discovered. Turning that program inward is a destroyer of hope.

When the Apollo program landed on the moon, in spite of the deaths, in spite of the setbacks, something marvelous happened: the entire world sat glued to their TVs, excitedly watching a new era of exploration. It was a great day. It was a day of hope.It was a day of horizons reached, of fresh trails to blaze. The same happened when President Bush suggested that we shoot for Mars. A new horizon to touch, a fresh journey to embark upon...great excitement washed all over America that day. It didn't last.

Along comes Obama, who takes those hopes and smashes them by changing the very nature of new horizons. No longer do we have something exciting to look forward to, now we have to walk backwards into the old. Now we have to grovel in the swamp of bitterness and people who feel sorry for themselves. No thanks, Mr. President. I hope that enough people start squawking about this "decree" so it will fall.

Independence Day

So today is the celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence for the United States. It's the day that started a long and bloody war for the right to live in freedom from control by the government of England. Since our children, our teens, our college students are being given a version of history that is a flat lie, I thought today I should prepare a dose of quotations from some of our more famous forefathers.

The following were not written in the National Review, or the Newsmax Magazine, nor were they quotes from Erick Erickson, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, or Laura Ingraham. They are from the people who created the foundation for American principles. Our current crop of leaders are nothing like them. Arguing with Cobras

Today's headlines make you feel like we are trying to argue with cobras. Or tree stumps, not necessarily in that order.

In one news agency today we see the headline that Paul McCartney compares people who disagree with "global warming" to holocaust deniers like Ahmadinejad. I'd class Paul as a tree stump. As a high school student, I visited Dachau in Germany. And frankly, Paul DEEPLY offends me by his statement. I have several Jewish friends who would also be greatly angered by that nasty attitude. I believe in global climate CYCLES- but not the kind of warming that alarmist socialists love to tout. And scientifically it has been shown as a ruse in the first place, Paul- get a clue. Global warming is about control, not about the environment. The comparing of the two issues are rude, ignorant, and foolish. You are more prejudiced and intolerant than anyone of us that you despise so vehemently.

Between that and all the falderal from Iran about their nuclear capability, the dissension in the military, the failure of our Prez to be balanced, and a boatload of crazy people nominated for judgeships around the country, an ocean disaster of unbelievable proportions, and well, we've got problems. And a lot of those issues are controlled by people I would call cobras.

They are deaf as a post. Cobras have no ears. They can sense vibrations, and have awesome eyesight for movement, but they don't hear. You can yell all day at one and get nowhere. Step your foot in front of them even from behind and they will nail you. Or spit in your eyes. Sound like Washington yet? They just are NOT listening!

And what about General McChrystal? He blew it, plain and simple. Allowing and feeding dissension within a military organization was just plain dangerous. Hesitation within the ranks, insubordination, all of that can get people killed. As a leader, he should have worked to create cohesion and the strength of unity in his men. One can only hope that General Petraeus has the strength and ability to marshal some sort of unity.

Right now, our military is terribly divided. They are not fond of our President, who is not a friend of American warriors. When there are problems between the men and the leaders, danger lurks. Even in law enforcement, when the men hate the Chief or the lower echelon, someone could get killed. And hatred, like ignorance, causes deafness. People get so wrapped up in themselves and their "feelings" that wisdom gets tossed out. Then nobody wins, and the cobras begin to devour their prey.

If it sounds like I'm unhinged by all this, I'm not.I saw it coming. It was written for us thousands of years ago. We should have cleaned our ears out to hear it. So this is a short warning to cobras and tree stumps: cobras are also cannibalistic, and dead tree stumps get pulled out of the ground.The day is coming, way sooner than you think, when the Owner of the earth and the nations is going to do some housecleaning. I'd get on his good side before He gets here.

Powder Kegs

The term "powder keg" has been around for centuries. It stems from a wooden keg filled with gunpowder that was kept for reloading muskets. They were highly volatile, and if a spark or flame got anywhere near them, they would blow up and start huge fires, as well as level the buildings and people around them.

We are there.The entire world is a powder keg waiting to happen today, far worse than it was yesterday.The news media is, of course, blaming Israel for being "aggressive.". They are wrong. This flotilla/blockade situation was set up deliberately by pro-palestinians for several weeks perhaps even months. They were fully aware that Israel could not let them pass through the Gaza blockade. They were fully aware that the intelligence showed items not related to humanitarian needs in the ships.And they have played it up to make Netanyahu the bad guy, when, frankly,it was the opposition. They did it on purpose.Turkey has threatened today to "drown Israel in their own blood." And are we going to help? Oh, no, we're making it worse.

Our Prez called up Bibi today and "demanded" he do something. Why should he? Our Prez won't do anything about the slaughter at our own borders, so why should Bibi listen to the threats from the WH? So relationship with our staunchest friend, Israel, has been ready to blow up for over a year now.Another keg about to start an explosion that can't be stopped.

Iran is bragging about their enriched uranium, enough for two nukes. Oh, goody. Iran has been pumping up their nuclear capabilities-- yes, read that bombs-- while the world twiddles its thumbs babbling about sanctions. Iran did THAT on purpose too, by the way. Yep, smoldering powder keg there too.

Add to that volcanic eruptions, catastrophic oil spills, the two Koreas at each other's throats, European economies on the verge of disaster, and you have a lovely concoction of powder keg. Will it blow? As the risk of sounding doom and gloom, I think it will have to eventually. Like the fault lines that cause major earthquakes, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. I don't think our leadership is wise enough to handle it properly, and will come down on the wrong side.

Who will light the fuse? I personally think it's already lit. It just depends on how long the fuse is...

Truth or Twisted Fiction

It appears today that Texas has adopted the more Conservative textbook curriculum. Geez, I hope so. It's Texas, ain't it? Yippee Kiyay and all that?

Why are we having a media frenzy over telling the truth to a child through a textbook? What the? Why are liberals so afraid of the truth that they do everything including threaten people to stop it from being told? Did they not receive any timeouts for bad behavior growing up? Can we wash out their mouths with that great green soap?

I didn't freak out when I found out that Custer was a pig, and yes my history book taught what happened without calling him that. My history classes were interesting and the teachers made us look things up in various media. We didn't have the internet,so we actually had to work at it, but we learned the good, the bad, and the ugly. It didn't kill us, it made us better. Textbooks need to be objective, but tell the truth. They need to spur a child to dig deep and check things out, not indoctrinate them with skewed, twisted lies.

In an interview on Greta Van Sustern (Fox News)this last week with a teacher from Arizona (Hispanic, by the way), we learned that he was fired by the school because he refused to tell Latino children that they were victims of the white establishment. Sounds kinda familiar...uh, from somewhere...uh...

To tell our children that Christians were not an integral part of the history of America is ludicrous. To train children that they should think of themselves as victims, filling their hearts with bitterness at an early age guarantees generations of worthless, nonproductive citizens. They can't overcome the storms of life because they are too busy feeling sorry for themselves.

Train up children to be overcomers. Train them to move past their setbacks and hurts and teach them to love in spite of the problems they encounter. Then they will become great people, capable of leading this nation into the future. Stop looking backward, start looking forward. And stop teaching them to point the finger at everyone else and shift the blame- teach them to be responsible for their own actions.

And somebody puhlease tell the people who are making all the weiner/whining about the textbooks and the AZ immigration law to shut up? They are really giving us all a headache.

Dragonslayers? Where?

Have you noticed the movie trend over say the last 20 years about making dragons your friends? Sweet wonderful dragons that you can ride on and pet like your little doggy. Oh, and don't forget the vampires that can be your best friends. But the real whopper is that all your kids get to be witches, sorcerers and warlocks just for fun. Yikes. All that garbage has an agenda, whether you see it or not. The agenda is to make children susceptible to influences of forces they cannot see.

America is already susceptible to those forces. We stepped over the line in Nov of 2008. We are now in the grip of the dark side with no dragonslayer on our team. We have lots of "armchair pontificators" like me. But we need true dragonslayers who have the Davidic faith and passion to free us from this demonic garbage.

I have a friend who told me point blank the other day that we have "lost." He strongly believes that America as we once knew it is gone forever. He believes that the avalanche of evil has caused too much damage and we're never going to dig out of it. Is that true? What do you think?

I believe that there are still some dragonslayers in America. I believe with all my heart that somewhere in the depths of this nation there are still people with Godly wisdom and the ability to fight this garbage effectively. Like Elijah at the cave, I believe God would tell us that there are still lots of people on our side.

You all may be tired of praying the for government to turn around and watch as it slides even deeper into oblivion. You may be so sick of BHO that you want to turn off the TV and pretend he's gone. You may just want the "old days" back. Well you're not getting them. Beaver Cleaver is gone. Reruns won't help us. True dragonslayers, true patriots, true men and women of God are our only hope.

As much as we all love our convervative talkers, and people on the front line like Michelle Bachman, we need MORE. We need people who will stand up and get everyone into dragonslayer mode. People who can motivate others to get off their couch potato rears and into the voting booths and start confronting the dragons.

In the last election, Idaho voted out a great man, Bill Sali. He was confrontive. He dumped piles of gas receipts on Nancy Pelosi's desk and told her in no uncertain terms that his consitutents didn't appreciate paying those high gas prices. I loved it. He wasn't afraid of her or the political machine that spawned her. He was ousted in the election after a vicious campaign against his "confrontive nature."

There are always times for conciliation and working together-we need that cohesiveness to make our government work. But this group of folks have taken the "togetherness" out of politics and left only dragons which guard against the ability to vote on issues that affect everyone. And so the dragons must be confronted at every turn.

From local elections to the national ones, don't listen to what they say- look at who they are. Political labels mean nothing- what's on the INSIDE is what matters. If they look like a nice little pet dragon, take your vote and skewer them with it.

Military might...or not

First off, you should know that I'm a fan of both military and cops. I'm usually on their side because I've seen first hand what it would be like without them. They are my heroes- and I fully support them. But currently our society and government are h.e.double toothpicks bent on pulling their ability to protect us.

Benjamin Franklin once said that "The cat with gloves catches no mice." If you think about it, that is a hugely profound statement in today's world. We can't protect America if our military or our police are so worried about political correctness that they basically have handcuffs on their own wrists.

I read a couple of days ago on the "Navy Times" website, that a new medal has been proposed. It's given to troops who "show restraint" and don't kill the enemy. Now, before you throw up, let's balance all this and give someone the benefit of the doubt- they are trying to mitigate the many times when someone has gone crazy on adrenalin and killed a whole room full of civilians. So technically I understand it.
Do I agree with it? Absolutely not!

It sends the wrong message. It sends confusion to the men and women who put their lives in jeopardy every day in the war zones. "Uh, should I shoot, or not shoot and maybe get a medal." "Should I kill that guy with the AK47 or should I see if I can talk him out of pulling the trigger." NO TIME,people, there is never that much time!

To survive on the streets, or survive in a war, they must make split second decisions. You don't have time to pick your nose, scratch your hiney, or go to the john before you make a decision. You have one second, maybe less, to decide whether that guy is going to blow you up. And generally speaking, people who hate you are going to choose to pull the trigger.

We have always had the best military in the world. Even when we were a fledgling nation, when our military were just a bunch of rag-tag neighbors with some muskets, they were the best. They fought with passion for their families and in spite of the odds against them won freedom for America. The military has continued that tradition in spite of the society that is constantly trying to beat them down. But this threat is insidious. Making them "nicer", making them more "sensitive" will not protect our country. It will weaken them from the inside out.

The Lord didn't bless the cowards who were scared of the people of Canaan. He only blessed the two men, Joshua and Caleb, who had the faith to fight. He didn't stand with the entire Israeli army who were afraid of Goliath- He stood with the skinny kid with the slingshot who had faith and courage to face the enemy. And the people of faith won. We must not allow faith to fall in America. We must not produce weak, double-minded troops. Our very lives depend on it!

Firm Foundations?

Ok, is anyone else out there ticked off that some kids in California were told to go change their clothes because of an American flag? And this morning Mexican gangs are threatening them because of their clothing choice. Excuse me, when are we going to stop allowing intimidation to run things?

My Dad taught me as a child to stand up to bullies, and not back down to peer pressure. Wow, just the opposite today.

We allow gangs, terrorists, and other assorted a.h.'s to run our lifestyle. We fold when muslims whine. We disavow our Christian heritage at the first sign of complaint. We have become a nation of cowards. Do you know...God hates cowards?

Benjamin Franklin once said this: "Those who give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

He was right. There are times to back down and times to stand up. Our flag is our banner-- and the gangs have no right to intimidate us out of wearing it. The principal of a high school has no right to stop the wearing of it. It's my flag and I will wear it, and those who don't like it, tough.

My forefathers fought in the Revolutionary War. They paid the price for this land. My forefathers also fought in the Civil War- they also paid a horrible price for this land.The gangs, the muslims, the bullies who think they are powerful are not worthy of our subservience. We need to rise up as Americans and put a stop to the intimidation.

Our foundations have become weak. In the book of Daniel (Bible, remember that one?), there is a dream of an image that had clay feet and it crumbled. We are there. America is not standing, it is crumbling due to lack of firm foundations. I'll ask you- can we get some strong mortar or will it fall over?

Tall saguaro (Sa wa roe)towers with lively blooms on the tips of their arms...as if the cacti carried bouquets of flowers for all to share. Today, all people can see are the thorns. Yesterday, May 4, 2010, someone sent an envelope of white powder to Governor Jan Brewer's office. Did the mainline media report it? Not really, you had to hunt for any information. Did anyone raise a hue and cry about her safety? No. Talk about a double standard. It's ignorance in the extreme.

Based on my own law enforcement experience, let's talk about the AZ law for a minute. There is nothing new in it. It changes NOTHING. It simply asks local law enforcement to pick up the task that the Fed gov should be enforcing. Its wording is THE SAME as the current federal laws.

What about this screaming tantrum about "racial profiling" and other garbage? ALL legislation throughout the United States has to conform to Supreme Court rulings such as Miranda v Arizona, and the rulings about "probable cause." ALL law enforcement agencies in America must subscribe to those precedents. When they do not, there is hell to pay- because their cases are all thrown out. No law enforcement officer can go around arresting people because he or she has a snit that day. They can't stop you unless you do something suspicious. They MUST have some logical reason based upon their training that causes them to be concerned. But you know what? If you cross the center line while driving down the road, you're going to get stopped. And tough if you don't like it.

The Arizona law legally stresses Supreme Court precedents. It does NOT countermand them, nor does it change the thread of legal issues contained in the Federal Statute.
To hear it spouted by the left, you'd think AZ passed a law to wipe out the Mexican population by force. GOOD GRIEF.


From 1980-1990's, there were a group of people who followed the soccer game trail called "hooligans." They specifically targeted the crowds at large events and started riots that claimed many lives. They weren't real fans, they were trouble-makers who desired destruction. The left-wing people who like to stir things up with those who really don't know the truth are the same. They are worse than hooligans. They take what is lovely and destroy it for all of us.

That's the problem with the left- they have more temper tantrums than muslims. Everyone is always offended. We live in a world where political correctness causes us to walk on eggshells. We can't enforce the current laws because someone will complain. It's a big pile of thorns. What happened to the lovely landscape of Arizona, the God-given beauty of its people of all races? It's buried in a pile of bull poop, slung by the people who like to rile everyone up into a frenzy.

Freedom of Religion? Where?

Well, they've finally done it. Federal judge Barbara Crabb has ruled that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. Where is she from, Mars? Obviously her knowledge of America's foundations is not only lacking but down right wrong.

As much as our President and his cronies have tried to delete Christianity from America, the purpose of the Constitution is very clear: freedom OF religion, not freedom "from" religion. Any read of our history that is correct shows a continual thread of Christianity. This current corn flake bowl of liberals is not only attempting to re-write history, but they have little resemblance whatsoever to any previous liberals or "progressives". By the way, when you hear someone say they are "progressive", you can substitute the word "regressive" and run like the wind away from them!

Woodrow Wilson was not the most popular President in our history, and his views were not what we could call "conservative." But in the front flap of a small HCSB (Holman Christian Standard Bible)Bible, there is a copy of a letter written to the American people which says in part: "The Bible is the word of life. I beg that you will read it and find this out for yourselves -- read, not little snatches here and there, but long passages that will really be the road to the heart of it...the more you read the more it will become plain to you what things are worth while and what are not, what things make men happy-- loyalty, right dealing, speaking the truth, readiness to give everything for that they think their duty, and most of all, the wish that they may have the approval of Christ, who gave everything for them..." It is signed by Woodrow Wilson on Presidential stationary.

Contrast these words to an administration which gives nothing for America but apology, and hostility to that very Word which President Wilson described as "life." Keep in mind that the further we get from God in our hearts, the crazier and more nasty people will become. They are already, as the Bible pronounces, those whose "love has grown cold."

Hear this, liberals, and hear this carefully. You may attempt to remove God from everything we do. You may attempt to force us to worship your golden image of man, or a false religion.You will fail. You may legislate the mention of God out of every workplace and government office- but you cannot legislate Him out of US. You cannot stop us from prayer even if you duct tape our mouths shut or kill us. You cannot keep us from the Lord. He's much much bigger than you are, and we know Him well. You can keep fueling the flames hotter, and He will appear in the furnace with us. You can make the lions around us roar louder, and He will let us cuddle up and sleep in peace around them without harm.

You may have the temporary ability to mess with us, but we are not crushed- because when we arise, He will arise with us and it is YOU that will be ashamed!

Stupak, Netanyahu,Threats and Other Dangers

Let me say this first: I have never claimed to be sane. I do claim to have a unique perspective. My past experiences reveal some information you may not be aware of for daily life, so listen up and listen carefully. My past includes a short stint in MENSA (3 years, so in case you want to call me a moron, guess again. Just sayin').

Everything you see with your eyes is not really what exists.The things we touch, see, feel are actually made up of things that we cannot see. Solid objects, for example, are not truly "solid"; they are made up of millions of moving atoms. They ram each other and share electrons with unimaginable speed. Their closely packed movement and shared electrons creates the illusion of solid matter.Look at a periodic table sometime and see that each element is a combination of different atoms that have "combined" in their movements.

Take water, for example. It looks real, it flows, we can touch it and feel it and drink it. But it is really hydrogen gas that has combined with oxygen gas.(H2O)In other words, their molecules have combined and formed something else.
Fire and Lightning are actually particles of energy that became ionized from their movement- stick your hand in that energy stream and you will get burned. Point is, what you see around you is not real- what you can't see is what causes what is visible!

Let me give you a graphic example: I once worked with a German lady who had been an "interpreter at Auschwitz" during WWII. At first we had great conversations and worked together well. One morning during one of those conversations, something I mentioned suddenly caused a black spirit to cover her face. It was visible, dark, and completely engulfed her body from the head down. From that moment on, hatred ran her. Whether I mentioned something about God's chosen people or Christians doesn't matter- a demonic force took control of her. For the next few months she went wild.She started drinking alcohol in the bathroom. She started tearing up criminal records and pitching them in the garbage. She tried to get me fired with lies. She told different lies to each employee. One day she went totally crazy and left work- she was found several hundred miles away in Canada, wandering the streets in a mental fog! We did not realize that her life as a Nazi interpreter had allowed her to live with a demon of hatred all those years. And it destroyed her.

So let's talk about what is happening in our government, our country right now. The vicious anger and hatred that is manifesting in the political arena is not just caused by out-of-control people. It is a manifestation of demonic forces unleashed in America. Example: Bart Stupak played into the hands of a judas spirit- or a spirit of betrayal. And, like Judas in real life, he has now stated he will not run for re-election. In short, he has seen his sin of "taking silver" for lives and is getting out of the arena. He is lost, in effect, from the job.

Another example: the threats against both Dems and Reps. We look at that and think it's all stupid people. Well, they may be stupid (I.Q.= -33). But they have allowed themselves to be run by demonic forces- in short, the spirits of hatred and murder. BOTH sides are falling into the trap. Satan's house is NOT divided, no matter what label is on it.Nancy Pelosi frequently falls into the trap by calling the conservatives names and treating Tea Party activists as evil. As Jesus once said, you are all children of your father, the Devil.

Our President and his Secretary of State recently treated the Prime Minister of Israel like trash. He was snubbed, yelled at, and basically run over by the Obama freight train. Big problem with that is that it comes from a Haman Spirit- or an anti-semitic demonic force that has been around since the beginning. It's a demon, plain and simple.

Mr. Netanyahu is a strong man of principle, and pushing him is a mistake. Israel is supposed to be an ally - we have been the ONLY two nations who together have been a formidable force of strength against tyranny in the Middle East. All of the others who call themselves our "allies" are compromised due to the Muslim influence. In the spiritual realm, God loves the Israeli people, they are His original chosen ones. Be nasty to them, you step into a realm of real danger. Our own President has acted directly against the Living God -- think about it, not a smart move.

Let me put it as plainly as possible: if the people of America do not STOP right now and turn around their attitudes and actions, we are going to collapse as a nation. If our leaders don't repent, Pandora's box will remain open and the tribulations will grow even worse. The only hope we have is a move of the Holy Spirit upon us to create a place of repentance and reversal of the animosity. Hit your knees, America,and stop allowing the rulers of darkness access to your hearts! The things you cannot see are attempting to destroy us.

Physics, Politics, and Consequences

Isaac Newton gave us a principle that said, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Now I know that some scientists are trying to push the idea that Sir Isaac was some nutcase, a religious crackpot. But we still use his findings as the basis of our modern science. So let's apply the laws we've learned in science to what is happening in the political realm.

Debt is like heavy rocks. If you pile it too high on a platform made out of wood, eventually the platform will collapse. If you bury a person under those same rocks, they will die. Our government has piled so much debt on top of America's people, that we will never see the light of day. And it will suffocate the life out of us.It's a scientific guarantee.

Last week Congress passed Obamacare, as you are well aware. Now, understand, I have no objection to trying to reform the healthcare system- but reform it toward socialism I strongly disagree. I have friends in nations with socialized medicine who tell me they may have to wait two or more years for surgeries that we take for granted here. Their system is so clogged with people that it has become an assembly line of people. Pay for doctors is way down, so they fight to get anyone from anywhere with a medical degree, even if it is substandard.

And insurances:my current insurance policy went up by $111 this year alone. Why? Because of a major surgery I am now considered "high risk." And so they can charge me considerably more. I'm too young for Medicare. They offered me a different policy, but they offered me an extremely high deductible, which would have been deadly for me on a fixed income. Did this healthcare bill help me? Nope. Not now, not until maybe 2014. I still won't be eligible for Medicare until 2018. America probably won't exist by then, if some things don't change!

Walgreens cut off new Medicaid patients just prior to passage of this bill. They don't want to deal with the mess of red tape! Many major corporations are worried they will go under as the weight of new taxes hits them.

Americans are already buried under tons of monetary rocks. This may be our death nell, if we are unable to throw off the weight of the tyranny behind it. And make no mistake, this is tyranny.It is a form of slavery to the master that our leaders want to force on the American people. They want us to pay. They want us to fall. They have exempted themselves from the consequences. We are the fall guys here. The best hope we have is the voting booth.

I saw firsthand what "redistribution of wealth"really means in the 70's. It meant that leaders got the money, the people got poverty. It meant that leaders kept their power, the people had none. It meant that machine guns were trained on their own people, not only their enemies. Their people were literally trapped behind barbed wire fences with little material goods and little hope.If that's what you'd like for America, keep letting these folks run our nation.

I knew a woman who swam the Danube River to flee from her communist nation in order to get to America back in the 60's. She was lucky; she made it alive. But not without scars. They promised a "redistribution of wealth" to her nation too...what they got was communist control and deadly force that crushed her people.

It took President Reagan and a moderate Soviet leader to tear down the Berlin Wall. I don't see anyone with the wisdom to stop this runaway train in America. We have a popularity contest instead of a political system. We need to vote this November, and vote in the masses against the Marxist agenda.And I pray that someone with true wisdom will show up before November of 2012, or we are done for.The science proves it.

The Consequences of Bitterness

This morning's headlines contain the story of a blonde-haired mother who was once a straight A nursing student- now a hate-filled follower of Islamic extremists. How did she get there? Actually, it's an easy downhill slide. It starts with bitterness.

Bitterness is one of the worst things that can infiltrate a person's life. As soon as it takes root, it starts growing exponentially.

As we grow up, many things can happen to us in this difficult world. People can hurt us. People we trust can betray us. By the time we reach adulthood, we can choose to walk past such bad situations into a good life with joy, or we can live in the past and hunker down into bitterness. From there it's a build up of darkness that eventually overloads and starts an avalanche of problems. Forgiveness renders that bitterness unable to grow!

Hosea Ballou, one of our nation's founding personalities (1771-1852), once said that "A religion which requires persecution to sustain it is of the devil's propagation." If he were alive today, he would see that play out in the most destructive of philosophies: the idea that "infidels" should be killed.

Hatred is the blossom that blooms as bitterness grows. Soon it releases its pollen to others, and a whole field of evil is produced. It ALWAYS produces some sort of death in the person in which it resides. It is a self-punishing hell to those who choose to live in it. Their thoughts are consumed. Their ability to truly love is destroyed. Their actions become destructive to others. Their joy becomes perverted into hate. Life is no longer worth living, so whatever their mindset becomes plays out in a drama of evil actions. All because at some point in their lives, they chose to be bitter.It's not worth it, folks.

Television, movies, games, all teach our people to be bitter and angry- revenge and violence fill their minds. "Get even" is the cry of these media. We don't know what we have done. Religious people who blindly indoctrinate others without regard for life itself propogate such terror. In a world that is messy and harsh, we have shown children and adults alike how to grow a bitterness seed. And when confronted by someone (like a jihadist) with a method of revenge and anger against those they have chosen to hate, they move easily into a world of extremist thought and plot to blow people up. Or they find weapons and shoot innocent people in a school, business, or shopping mall.

There is only one answer- the forgiveness of Christ. Free yourself from the pain of bitterness, and let go of the past. It's not worth it. It's not worth destroying families and friends, nations and cities over the way you feel inside. Get free of it!

A Whale of a Problem

In all of the blogs, news stories, and griping over the incident where an Orca killed a trainer at SeaWorld, common sense was decidedly lacking. This morning I found two stories: one, an emotional return to the whale show, and the other in which PETA (animal rights activists) found no sympathy for the trainer.

My advice to all of you is this: go watch Cesar Millan (the Dog Whisperer). What? She's nuts.He has learned to read animal behavior with his inner senses and can see trouble before it happens. Apparently the rest of the world thinks animals are stuffed toys.

An animal doesn't speak English, and each animal has different instincts depending upon what type of animal it is. A dog is a predator. A whale is a predator. They don't call them "killer whales" because they are cuddly teddy bears! Ask Roy Horn who was mauled by a tiger several years ago- a tiger he had raised and fed and pet on a regular basis. Someone startled it and it attacked him out of instinct. To his credit, he did not allow it to be put down. It was instinct, not malevolence.

The whale reacted to the trainer startling it when she fell into the tank. She didn't enter the water in her normal fashion, and his instincts took over. Predators react to threats with aggression. A whale is a WILD animal,not a chihuahua.

As for PETA, you guys are just plain foolish. First off, the trainer and her family deserve respect too. A job with animals is a joy and wonder. It was grieving to see your nasty remarks about her. Animals can make bonds with people- bonds of familiarity, even loyalty. They don't have the same feelings as people, but they do have feelings. They sense things- fear, anger, love, joy, excitement. The whale will miss his trainer for a while, guaranteed. And he won't know why. He'll have to get used to someone else. He'll sense the sadness and even the fear. And no, he shouldn't be released into the wild. He's been in captivity too long. He's a predator dependent upon hand feeding. They haven't been throwing a live seal into his tank to feed him, he's been eating dead fish.

You can gripe about animals in captivity all you want. But the fact is that SeaWorld and places like it save the lives of countless wild animals every year. The captive breeding programs may be the last bastion of the magnificent creatures we know because habitat is disappearing at an alarming rate. The ocean's dead zones are expanding. Land based habitat is being clear cut and developed. We are losing the places for wildlife-- it's the dedication of conservationists, zoos, and wildlife experts that will give us a wild future to experience.

So everyone grow up. Stop being radical in your stances - try common sense. Try protecting wildlife with wisdom. Try understanding that animals were given to us as gifts and should be treated accordingly. You are stewards of the gifts -stop being spoiled brats.

The Path

I've griped before about the twisting of facts by both the left and right. Well, I'm going to harp on it again. I got an email this morning about Pres Bush visiting Fort Hood immediately after the shootings, and it said that the current Pres didn't visit and only held a photo op. Which was not true. Whoever altered the original information did so because of their hatred of Mr. Obama. I've seen that garbage from both left and right enough. Hear this: God hates lies. False witness, liars of all kinds end up in a pickle. You can be the one who has the correct political stance and still lose everything just because fact twisting is a lie, period. Sin kills no matter how small it may seem.

The left has been busily trying to paint tea party participants as dangerous radicals, nazis, and every other kind of evil. The left constantly tells America that conservatives and/or Christians are evil monsters who hate everyone. Beetle droppings. The ones who want to kill us are the ones who embrace that other religion. The left are liars too. Their stance is not "tolerant", in fact it's the most radically intolerant stance I've ever seen.

When will people learn that Americans need to be Americans FIRST? We aren't parties, we are people. We are supposed to be strong, unified, and fight for the good. Good is morally good, accountable, responsible, and not tolerant of evil. Lies are evil. Fact twisting is evil.The government is supposed to be for the people. The media is supposed to objectively report to the people. The people are supposed to elect representatives not con artists.

HATRED IS EVIL. I don't care if you are left or right, Dem or Rep, Muslim or Christian, Buddhist, Baptist, Bubba's Shrimp Company. Hatred is evil, period. Anger can happen without evil, but when you allow the anger to cause you to hate or twist the facts, then it crosses the line. Stop it, America. Get a grip.

We should all pray that the political parties revamp their entire way of doing things. Republicans need to adopt the ideas written at the recent CPAC convention. Both parties need to pitch the good 'ole boys out on their ears and get real people who care about the nation. And the rest of us all need to stop sending out lies over the internet. Check things out before you send them on with hate-filled glee.There is only one pathway that works and it is truth. The truth will win out. It will set us free, it will put the nation back on the right path.

Brown - The Color of Victory

Well, a day after Massachusetts gave the Democrats a serious spanking, I wonder what's ahead. Hopefully, Mr. Brown is as good a legislator as he is a speaker. Hopefully, he really operates with as much wisdom as he sounds like he does (without a teleprompter, I might add). And yes, Mr. President, we like Senator Brown's truck. In North Idaho, trucks are a sign of citizenship in the region. No truck, no macho. Simple, right?

Now here's the question: what is up for the rest of 2010? Will you all get off your duffs and start wisely voting, or will you go have a pitcher of beer instead of going to the polls after work? We can take the reigns of America and march it back to a wiser direction, or we can pretend we have no power. Oh, we have power.

Erick Erickson of RedState.com today made this comment- that if they didn't stop, we would "pry them out of their seats." I hope so. I hope the momentum will increase and people will be so mad that they dump the lot of them, and chose righteous men and women who have a solid grasp of the issues, as well as a heaping dose of compassion and understanding.

We are a democracy- God gave America a uniquely special form of government. WE get to choose our leaders in an election. WE get to make decisions regarding the direction of our government. We can also sit on our collective butts and do nothing. And then looky what wonders that creates: higher taxes, forced legislation that pushes our nation toward Socialism.

Our way of life is dependent upon the electorate voting with wisdom. Wisdom right now is an endangered species (ok, extinct) on the left (and even sometimes the right). Selfishness, personal agendas, power lust... America can't stand on those things. We can stand on the Constitution. Written by the people of our past, for the people of the future.

Presidential Connections

I sat at my desk this morning, re-reading a thank you letter sent to me by former President Bush, and the tears welled up in my eyes. Do any of you realize that we have lost the connection to our President?

Even as a child growing up, we were able to send letters or small gifts to our President, just to encourage or thank him for being our President. It's a tough job, that. Even though our Chief of State has always been wealthier than the average person, they seemed like one of us: success stories of people who worked hard, and came to make the nation a better place.

This President has made a lot of noise about being reachable and open. Yet it has been the exact opposite. His Blackberry notwithstanding,the sense is that the "real person" aspect of the Presidency is gone. He simply doesn't feel like "one of us." Now, before someone tries to tell me that's racial, it's not. He could be Asian, Native American, Black, or Martian for all I care -- it's the personal sense of a man that tells us they are approachable by ordinary citizens.

If you read the White House web site these days, you will find a fairly strongly worded statement that says no gifts. You aren't supposed to send them a book for encouragement like previous administrations (I've sent several before). And I suspect letters will come back form letters with stamped signatures rather than real ink.(If you get a reply at all). I was going to send the first kids a photo of my dog and a letter of encouragement for them with Bo, but no way after that slap in the eye from the website. It simply is not personable- and makes ordinary citizens feel like we are beneath his dignity.

The wonderful thing about America has always been that the President is reachable, and teachable. He understands and has compassion for the people of his country. He learns from the circumstances and alters his course if necessary. He feels the plight of the poor, but understands the importance of the business community. His first priority is security and protection. He balances left and right and tries to work with both. He tries to get consensus, not ram his own agenda down our throats. It doesn't feel that way anymore -- and I think that means we are in trouble as a nation. With a Congress that will likely be at least halfway unseated this year because of voter anger, and a President who is unreachable and unteachable, we've got some serious days ahead. Whether or not this all stems from a broken home in his childhood or an upbringing of false doctrines, it still shows as personally bad for the people of America. If I'm wrong, Mr. President, prove it.
