Powder Kegs

The term "powder keg" has been around for centuries. It stems from a wooden keg filled with gunpowder that was kept for reloading muskets. They were highly volatile, and if a spark or flame got anywhere near them, they would blow up and start huge fires, as well as level the buildings and people around them.

We are there. The entire world is a powder keg waiting to happen today, far worse than it was yesterday. The news media is, of course, blaming Israel for being "aggressive.". They are wrong. This flotilla/blockade situation was set up deliberately by pro-palestinians for several weeks perhaps even months. They were fully aware that Israel could not let them pass through the Gaza blockade. They were fully aware that the intelligence showed items not related to humanitarian needs in the ships. And they have played it up to make Netanyahu the bad guy, when, frankly,it was the opposition. They did it on purpose.Turkey has threatened today to "drown Israel in their own blood." And are we going to help? Oh, no, we're making it worse.

Our Prez called up Bibi today and "demanded" he do something. Why should he? Our Prez won't do anything about the slaughter at our own borders, so why should Bibi listen to the threats from the WH? So relationship with our staunchest friend, Israel, has been ready to blow up for over a year now.Another keg about to start an explosion that can't be stopped.

Iran is bragging about their enriched uranium, enough for two nukes. Oh, goody. Iran has been pumping up their nuclear capabilities-- yes, read that bombs-- while the world twiddles its thumbs babbling about sanctions. Iran did THAT on purpose too, by the way. Yep, smoldering powder keg there too.

Add to that volcanic eruptions, catastrophic oil spills, the two Koreas at each other's throats, European economies on the verge of disaster, and you have a lovely concoction of powder keg. Will it blow? As the risk of sounding doom and gloom, I think it will have to eventually. Like the fault lines that cause major earthquakes, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. I don't think our leadership is wise enough to handle it properly, and will come down on the wrong side.

Who will light the fuse? I personally think it's already lit. It just depends on how long the fuse is...

Truth or Twisted Fiction

It appears today that Texas has adopted the more Conservative textbook curriculum. Geez, I hope so. It's Texas, ain't it? Yippee Kiyay and all that?

Why are we having a media frenzy over telling the truth to a child through a textbook? What the? Why are liberals so afraid of the truth that they do everything including threaten people to stop it from being told? Did they not receive any timeouts for bad behavior growing up? Can we wash out their mouths with that great green soap?

I didn't freak out when I found out that Custer was a pig, and yes my history book taught what happened without calling him that. My history classes were interesting and the teachers made us look things up in various media. We didn't have the internet,so we actually had to work at it, but we learned the good, the bad, and the ugly. It didn't kill us, it made us better. Textbooks need to be objective, but tell the truth. They need to spur a child to dig deep and check things out, not indoctrinate them with skewed, twisted lies.

In an interview on Greta Van Sustern (Fox News)this last week with a teacher from Arizona (Hispanic, by the way), we learned that he was fired by the school because he refused to tell Latino children that they were victims of the white establishment. Sounds kinda familiar...uh, from somewhere...uh...

To tell our children that Christians were not an integral part of the history of America is ludicrous. To train children that they should think of themselves as victims, filling their hearts with bitterness at an early age guarantees generations of worthless, nonproductive citizens. They can't overcome the storms of life because they are too busy feeling sorry for themselves.

Train up children to be overcomers. Train them to move past their setbacks and hurts and teach them to love in spite of the problems they encounter. Then they will become great people, capable of leading this nation into the future. Stop looking backward, start looking forward. And stop teaching them to point the finger at everyone else and shift the blame- teach them to be responsible for their own actions.

And somebody puhlease tell the people who are making all the weiner/whining about the textbooks and the AZ immigration law to shut up? They are really giving us all a headache.

Dragonslayers? Where?

Have you noticed the movie trend over say the last 20 years about making dragons your friends? Sweet wonderful dragons that you can ride on and pet like your little doggy. Oh, and don't forget the vampires that can be your best friends. But the real whopper is that all your kids get to be witches, sorcerers and warlocks just for fun. Yikes. All that garbage has an agenda, whether you see it or not. The agenda is to make children susceptible to influences of forces they cannot see.

America is already susceptible to those forces. We stepped over the line in Nov of 2008. We are now in the grip of the dark side with no dragonslayer on our team. We have lots of "armchair pontificators" like me. But we need true dragonslayers who have the Davidic faith and passion to free us from this demonic garbage.

I have a friend who told me point blank the other day that we have "lost." He strongly believes that America as we once knew it is gone forever. He believes that the avalanche of evil has caused too much damage and we're never going to dig out of it. Is that true? What do you think?

I believe that there are still some dragonslayers in America. I believe with all my heart that somewhere in the depths of this nation there are still people with Godly wisdom and the ability to fight this garbage effectively. Like Elijah at the cave, I believe God would tell us that there are still lots of people on our side.

You all may be tired of praying the for government to turn around and watch as it slides even deeper into oblivion. You may be so sick of BHO that you want to turn off the TV and pretend he's gone. You may just want the "old days" back. Well you're not getting them. Beaver Cleaver is gone. Reruns won't help us. True dragonslayers, true patriots, true men and women of God are our only hope.

As much as we all love our convervative talkers, and people on the front line like Michelle Bachman, we need MORE. We need people who will stand up and get everyone into dragonslayer mode. People who can motivate others to get off their couch potato rears and into the voting booths and start confronting the dragons.

In the last election, Idaho voted out a great man, Bill Sali. He was confrontive. He dumped piles of gas receipts on Nancy Pelosi's desk and told her in no uncertain terms that his consitutents didn't appreciate paying those high gas prices. I loved it. He wasn't afraid of her or the political machine that spawned her. He was ousted in the election after a vicious campaign against his "confrontive nature."

There are always times for conciliation and working together-we need that cohesiveness to make our government work. But this group of folks have taken the "togetherness" out of politics and left only dragons which guard against the ability to vote on issues that affect everyone. And so the dragons must be confronted at every turn.

From local elections to the national ones, don't listen to what they say- look at who they are. Political labels mean nothing- what's on the INSIDE is what matters. If they look like a nice little pet dragon, take your vote and skewer them with it.

Military might...or not

First off, you should know that I'm a fan of both military and cops. I'm usually on their side because I've seen first hand what it would be like without them. They are my heroes- and I fully support them. But currently our society and government are h.e.double toothpicks bent on pulling their ability to protect us.

Benjamin Franklin once said that "The cat with gloves catches no mice." If you think about it, that is a hugely profound statement in today's world. We can't protect America if our military or our police are so worried about political correctness that they basically have handcuffs on their own wrists.

I read a couple of days ago on the "Navy Times" website, that a new medal has been proposed. It's given to troops who "show restraint" and don't kill the enemy. Now, before you throw up, let's balance all this and give someone the benefit of the doubt- they are trying to mitigate the many times when someone has gone crazy on adrenalin and killed a whole room full of civilians. So technically I understand it.
Do I agree with it? Absolutely not!

It sends the wrong message. It sends confusion to the men and women who put their lives in jeopardy every day in the war zones. "Uh, should I shoot, or not shoot and maybe get a medal." "Should I kill that guy with the AK47 or should I see if I can talk him out of pulling the trigger." NO TIME,people, there is never that much time!

To survive on the streets, or survive in a war, they must make split second decisions. You don't have time to pick your nose, scratch your hiney, or go to the john before you make a decision. You have one second, maybe less, to decide whether that guy is going to blow you up. And generally speaking, people who hate you are going to choose to pull the trigger.

We have always had the best military in the world. Even when we were a fledgling nation, when our military were just a bunch of rag-tag neighbors with some muskets, they were the best. They fought with passion for their families and in spite of the odds against them won freedom for America. The military has continued that tradition in spite of the society that is constantly trying to beat them down. But this threat is insidious. Making them "nicer", making them more "sensitive" will not protect our country. It will weaken them from the inside out.

The Lord didn't bless the cowards who were scared of the people of Canaan. He only blessed the two men, Joshua and Caleb, who had the faith to fight. He didn't stand with the entire Israeli army who were afraid of Goliath- He stood with the skinny kid with the slingshot who had faith and courage to face the enemy. And the people of faith won. We must not allow faith to fall in America. We must not produce weak, double-minded troops. Our very lives depend on it!

Firm Foundations?

Ok, is anyone else out there ticked off that some kids in California were told to go change their clothes because of an American flag? And this morning Mexican gangs are threatening them because of their clothing choice. Excuse me, when are we going to stop allowing intimidation to run things?

My Dad taught me as a child to stand up to bullies, and not back down to peer pressure. Wow, just the opposite today.

We allow gangs, terrorists, and other assorted a.h.'s to run our lifestyle. We fold when muslims whine. We disavow our Christian heritage at the first sign of complaint. We have become a nation of cowards. Do you know...God hates cowards?

Benjamin Franklin once said this: "Those who give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

He was right. There are times to back down and times to stand up. Our flag is our banner-- and the gangs have no right to intimidate us out of wearing it. The principal of a high school has no right to stop the wearing of it. It's my flag and I will wear it, and those who don't like it, tough.

My forefathers fought in the Revolutionary War. They paid the price for this land. My forefathers also fought in the Civil War- they also paid a horrible price for this land. The gangs, the muslims, the bullies who think they are powerful are not worthy of our subservience. We need to rise up as Americans and put a stop to the intimidation.

Our foundations have become weak. In the book of Daniel (Bible, remember that one?), there is a dream of an image that had clay feet and it crumbled. We are there. America is not standing, it is crumbling due to lack of firm foundations. I'll ask you- can we get some strong mortar or will it fall over?

Arizona Cactus

When I was a kid, we crossed the border into Arizona and encountered some spectacular cactus. Tall saguaro (Sa wa roe)towers with lively blooms on the tips of their arms...as if the cacti carried bouquets of flowers for all to share. Today, all people can see are the thorns. They are missing the point.

The Arizona Support Our Law Enforcement
and Safe Neighborhoods Act(Senate Bill 1070)signed on
Friday, April 23, 2010, is NOT what the media would tell you it is. It is not what the army of left wingers purport it to be. They are raising a hissy fit over nothing!

Ignorance is a condition of the heart and mind. It isn't born of reality, it is born of opinion, judgment, and deception. And that type of self-centered behavior always leads to destruction!

Yesterday, May 4, 2010, someone sent an envelope of white powder to Governor Jan Brewer's office. Did the mainline media report it? Not really, you had to hunt for any information. Did anyone raise a hue and cry about her safety? No. Talk about a double standard. It's ignorance in the extreme.

Based on my own law enforcement experience, let's talk about the AZ law for a minute. There is nothing new in it. It changes NOTHING. It simply asks local law enforcement to pick up the task that the Fed gov should be enforcing. Its wording is THE SAME as the current federal laws.

What about this screaming tantrum about "racial profiling" and other garbage? ALL legislation throughout the United States has to conform to Supreme Court rulings such as Miranda v Arizona, and the rulings about "probable cause." ALL law enforcement agencies in America must subscribe to those precedents. When they do not, there is hell to pay- because their cases are all thrown out. No law enforcement officer can go around arresting people because he or she has a snit that day. They can't stop you unless you do something suspicious. They MUST have some logical reason based upon their training that causes them to be concerned. But you know what? If you cross the center line while driving down the road, you're going to get stopped. And tough if you don't like it.

The Arizona law legally stresses Supreme Court precedents. It does NOT countermand them, nor does it change the thread of legal issues contained in the Federal Statute.
To hear it spouted by the left, you'd think AZ passed a law to wipe out the Mexican population by force. GOOD GRIEF.

From 1980-1990's, there were a group of people who followed the soccer game trail called "hooligans." They specifically targeted the crowds at large events and started riots that claimed many lives. They weren't real fans, they were trouble-makers who desired destruction. The left-wing people who like to stir things up with those who really don't know the truth are the same. They are worse than hooligans. They take what is lovely and destroy it for all of us.

That's the problem with the left- they have more temper tantrums than muslims. Everyone is always offended. We live in a world where political correctness causes us to walk on eggshells. We can't enforce the current laws because someone will complain. It's a big pile of thorns. What happened to the lovely landscape of Arizona, the God-given beauty of its people of all races? It's buried in a pile of bull poop, slung by the people who like to rile everyone up into a frenzy.
