Firm Foundations?

Ok, is anyone else out there ticked off that some kids in California were told to go change their clothes because of an American flag? And this morning Mexican gangs are threatening them because of their clothing choice. Excuse me, when are we going to stop allowing intimidation to run things?

My Dad taught me as a child to stand up to bullies, and not back down to peer pressure. Wow, just the opposite today.

We allow gangs, terrorists, and other assorted a.h.'s to run our lifestyle. We fold when muslims whine. We disavow our Christian heritage at the first sign of complaint. We have become a nation of cowards. Do you know...God hates cowards?

Benjamin Franklin once said this: "Those who give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

He was right. There are times to back down and times to stand up. Our flag is our banner-- and the gangs have no right to intimidate us out of wearing it. The principal of a high school has no right to stop the wearing of it. It's my flag and I will wear it, and those who don't like it, tough.

My forefathers fought in the Revolutionary War. They paid the price for this land. My forefathers also fought in the Civil War- they also paid a horrible price for this land. The gangs, the muslims, the bullies who think they are powerful are not worthy of our subservience. We need to rise up as Americans and put a stop to the intimidation.

Our foundations have become weak. In the book of Daniel (Bible, remember that one?), there is a dream of an image that had clay feet and it crumbled. We are there. America is not standing, it is crumbling due to lack of firm foundations. I'll ask you- can we get some strong mortar or will it fall over?
